It's that time - 2025 art recap!
Not gonna lie, 2025 was....tough, to put it mildly, but I did make bingo which is better than my 2024 bingo board! So yay?? Lol. I started working more on my illustration stuff using Procreate on my iPad for digital paintings and also using traditional media like Copics, Poscas and even started up with linocutting.
Of course, I was totally drawn in by Kpop Demon Hunters. I've been working on kpop idols as Saja Boys and got two done this year - Jimin as Baby and Felix as Romance. Hope to finish the rest this coming year.
Pawsta Cats continued to grow and do well. I hope to bring pins to life in 2026. They are so fun to draw. I have more designs waiting in the queue.
Weird inspirations: a stale bagel and my car. Solitary Bagel came about after a trip with friends when one of them didn't finish their bagel all weekend long. It dried into this heart shape and me being weird, I turned it into a character. And then started drawing all kinds of other bagel friends. I have soo many bagel sketches now, LOL. And I also drew little cartoons of my car cause RAV4's look grouchy. I also made a punny sticker for it and it's become one of my best selling car stickers.
Scatsucon and Smokura Con - Yes, I was there for the burst pipe at Katsu and then got smoked out at the fire at Sakura. Both incidents needed sketches - the pipe one being my first at con commission. The dragon I ran off as cheapy prints while we were waiting and sold all 25.
Whew. Kudos if you've made it this far! 2026 bingo board all set so we'll see where this next year goes. Will post it tomorrow!
